Ricarda (born 1989) lives in Dortmund and is a master student of photography. She was on the pill between the age of 17 and 26. She cannot recall the first two medications, for the last seven years she was on the pill Valette. Concerning the side effects, her experiences with the pill are predominantly negative, especially concerning her libido and emotional state. She also criticizes that gynecologists have a strong tendency to subscribe the pill. Ricarda misses the feeling of security, the pure skin and the pain free period, but her newly gained freedom without the pill is more important to her.
